Job Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst / UAT Specialist with experience in the insurance domain to support business requirements gathering, process analysis, system enhancements, and user acceptance testing. The successful candidate will work closely with business users, IT teams, and stakeholders to analyse business needs, identify system gaps, document requirements, support UAT activities, and ensure that system changes are aligned with business, operational, risk, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review product specifications, functional specifications, and other work-related materials to understand business and system requirements.
  • Analyze system gaps, business processes, and operational workflows, and recommend suitable improvements.
  • Act as a bridge between IT teams and business users to assess processes, determine requirements, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ensure that risk and compliance standards are followed for system changes, enhancements, and deployments.
  • Organize and participate in meetings, workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions with business users.
  • Work with business users to understand requirements and support the preparation of business workflows and business requirements documents.
  • Prepare and document business requirements, conduct walkthroughs, review requirements, and obtain user sign-off.
  • Assess the feasibility, benefits, and risks of new IT solutions.
  • Recommend process improvements and ensure IT solutions are aligned with business needs and compliance requirements.
  • Define test scope, prepare test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for user acceptance testing.
  • Participate in UAT execution, coordinate with users, update test results, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Track, document, and follow up on defects or issues identified during UAT.
  • Prepare user guides, training materials, and deployment-related documentation.
  • Conduct training for operational users on new system deployments, enhancements, or process changes.
  • Support post-implementation activities and ensure smooth transition to business-as-usual operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of working experience in business analysis and user acceptance testing.
  • Prior working experience in the insurance domain is preferred.
  • Candidates with experience in insurance operations, policy processing, claims processing, underwriting, or insurance servicing may also be considered.
  • Good understanding of business requirements gathering, process documentation, and UAT execution.
  • Experience in preparing business requirements documents, functional specifications, test plans, test cases, and UAT documentation.
  • Strong business analysis skills with the ability to translate business needs into clear functional requirements.
  • Good project coordination skills, especially in planning, executing, and managing UAT activities.
  • Technology-savvy and able to understand the application of digital solutions to business processes.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and able to facilitate discussions with stakeholders across different business and technical domains.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, consultative, listening, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills.
