Role: Business Analyst, Transaction Banking Channels (APIs Development)

Job Level: Minimum 5-8 years of Relevant experience.

Location: Singapore

Responsibilities:

Develop technical and functional specification design documentation, including requirements traceability, test case design, and test execution.

Map as-is end-to-end payment processing flows, including error handling and special processing scenarios.

Work with client-specific payment JSON specifications and map them to downstream payment processor formats.

Apply hands-on experience with ISO 20022payment message formats, including pain.001 and pain.002.

Support payment processing operations, including monitoring, investigation, and exception handling.

Map core banking transaction posting codes to ISO transaction codes for client reporting purposes.

Assist in preparing JSON-based reporting and notification specifications for clients.

Design to-be processing flows, taking into account exception and reconciliation scenarios.

Interpret core banking transaction codes and map them to industry-standard file format specifications.

Work with SWIFT reporting formats, includingcamt.053 / camt.054 and/or MT94x messages.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in any related fields.

Minimum 5 years of experience in the banking industry and consulting firm.

Experience in issue and dependency tracking across project delivery phases.

Ability to draft Operating Procedures and coordinate with stakeholders to obtain formal approvals.

Familiarity with Treasury API design principles, including authentication and security mechanisms such as JWT.

Experience in conducting basic training sessions for internal teams and stakeholders.

Core Banking system experience is a plus.

Prior experience in transaction banking projects, with exposure to the India and/or Hong Kong markets is a plus.

Exposure to messaging infrastructure (e.g., Message Queues / MQ) is a plus.

Must-have:

Proven experience developing Technical & Functional Specification Design documentation, traceability, test case design and execution.

Experience with industry ISO20022 pain.001/002 formats

Familiar with Payment processing and exception handling

Experience with SWIFT camt53/54 and/or MT94x formats

Nice to have:

Core Banking experience is a plus

Conversant in Treasury API design methods and authentication security methods (JWT etc) and messaging infrastructure a plus (such as MQ).
