Our client is a startup in the maritime technology industry, and they are for a motivated Business Analyst to join their dynamic team as they expand!
The Role
You will play a key role in driving data-backed decision-making and supporting strategic growth initiatives across the group. You will be responsible for building and maintaining financial models, conducting market and competitive analyses, and preparing insights that inform corporate strategy, fundraising, and business planning. This role requires a highly analytical and commercially minded individual who can translate complex data into clear business recommendations, support leadership in evaluating opportunities, and contribute to the company's financial and strategic objectives.
Financial Analysis & Modeling
Develop and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate performance, profitability, and valuation scenarios. Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses, support budgeting and forecasting, and provide actionable insights for management decisions.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
Perform industry and competitor research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Prepare sector reports and benchmarks, and translate findings into strategic recommendations for leadership.
Strategic Planning & Corporate Development
Collaborate with corporate development and finance teams on strategic initiatives, partnerships, and new business evaluations. Assist in due diligence for investments and monitor portfolio performance to identify improvement areas.
Investor Relations & Reporting
Create high-quality investor presentations, fundraising materials, and executive reports. Develop pitch decks, dashboards, and briefing documents ensuring clarity and consistency in messaging.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product, operations, and finance teams to align business plans with strategic goals. Provide analytical support during reviews and help implement tools and processes to improve visibility and decision-making.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience in strategy, finance, consulting, or technology-driven startups, with strong analytical skills and expertise in financial modeling, market analysis, and business case development. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential, along with the ability to create high-quality presentations for senior stakeholders. You should excel at synthesizing complex information into actionable insights, possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments. A passion for technology, innovation, and data-driven problem solving-particularly in sectors like maritime, industrial tech, or fintech-is highly valued.
