Job Summary

We are seeking a Software Engineer with expertise in Business Analysis and Quality Assurance to deliver high-quality software solutions. You will bridge business requirements and technical implementation by collaborating with stakeholders and development teams to define user stories and validate system functionality.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business and system requirements from stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals
• Translate requirements into clear, actionable user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria to guide development
• Produce and maintain comprehensive functional documentation, process flows, and specifications to support project clarity
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and requirement discussions to drive project progress
• Collaborate closely with developers to clarify requirements and support effective implementation of software features
• Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scenarios to validate system functionality against business needs
• Perform functional testing and system validation to ensure software meets user expectations before release
• Identify, document, and track defects or issues in collaboration with the development team to maintain software quality
• Verify fixes and confirm resolution of issues prior to deployment to ensure smooth software delivery

Required competencies and certifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, or a hybrid BA/QA role
• Proven experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments
• Strong skills in requirements gathering and documentation to support accurate software development
• Ability to write clear user stories and acceptance criteria that facilitate effective communication between business and technical teams
• Experience performing functional testing and system validation to ensure software quality
• Familiarity with defect tracking and project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles to support project execution
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex business and technical challenges
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across teams
• Ability to work collaboratively with business users, developers, and project teams to achieve project objectives

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to facilitate final validation of software solutions
• Basic knowledge of API testing or integration testing to enhance quality assurance processes
• Exposure to data validation or SQL queries to support data-related testing activities
