Job Title: Business Analyst – Equities Front Office (70% BA | 30% Project Management)

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Front Office Equities domain expertise to join the APAC team. This role is ideal for a candidate who combines deep business analysis skills with the ability to manage small to medium-sized projects and drive change initiatives across the Equities business. The role requires close collaboration with Front Office users, Technology, Operations, and regional stakeholders across Singapore and Japan.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis (70%)
- Partner with Equities Front Office stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into detailed functional requirements.
- Conduct requirement gathering workshops, process mapping, gap analysis, and impact assessments.
- Produce high-quality business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
- Collaborate with Technology teams throughout the SDLC to ensure accurate solution design and delivery.
- Coordinate and support SIT, UAT, and production implementation activities.
- Manage requirement traceability and ensure business objectives are met.
- Drive process improvements and identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
Project Management (30%)
- Manage small to medium-sized regulatory, business, and technology initiatives.
- Develop project plans, track milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Facilitate governance meetings, status reporting, and stakeholder communication.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across business, technology, QA, and operations.
- Ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality and alignment with business priorities.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst within Capital Markets.
- Strong experience in Equities Front Office (Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Electronic Trading, Program Trading, or Prime Brokerage).
- Proven ability to work directly with Front Office traders, sales teams, and business stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, functional analysis, process modelling, and testing.
- Demonstrated experience managing workstreams or projects in an Agile and/or Waterfall environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within global investment banks.
- Knowledge of APAC markets, particularly Singapore and Japan.
- Familiarity with trade lifecycle, order management, execution management, and post-trade workflows.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, Jira, Confluence, and project reporting tools.
- Understanding of market structure, exchange connectivity, and regulatory initiatives affecting Equities.
