Lead end-to-end business analysis activities for payment-related initiatives, including requirement gathering, analysis, solution design, and implementation support.
Engage with senior business stakeholders, operations, compliance, and technology teams to understand complex payment processes and translate them into clear functional requirements.
Conduct in-depth analysis of payment systems and transaction workflows, including areas such as payment processing, reconciliation, settlement, and exception handling.
Drive business requirement workshops, stakeholder discussions, and solution walkthroughs to ensure alignment across business and technology teams.
Produce detailed business requirement documents (BRD), functional specifications, user stories, and process flows to support system development and implementation.
Analyze existing payment platforms and workflows, identifying opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency.
Work closely with project managers, architects, and development teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and delivered according to business expectations.
Support system integration and payment platform enhancements, ensuring compatibility with upstream and downstream systems.
Lead or support testing activities, including defining test scenarios, supporting SIT/UAT cycles, validating system outputs, and ensuring business requirements are met.
Investigate and analyze payment-related incidents or production issues, coordinating with relevant teams to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
Ensure payment solutions comply with regulatory, compliance, and risk management requirements within the banking environment.
Prepare executive-level documentation, project updates, and analysis reports to support project governance and decision-making.
Mentor junior analysts where required and provide subject matter expertise on payment systems and processes.
Support large-scale payment transformation or modernization programs across the organization.
Key Requirements
15+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst or Techno-Functional Analyst, preferably within banking or financial services.
Strong expertise in payments domain, including payment processing, transaction flows, reconciliation, settlement, and operational workflows.
Proven experience supporting large-scale payment transformation or implementation projects.
Strong knowledge of payment systems, banking platforms, and transaction processing environments.
Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, translating complex business requirements into structured functional specifications.
Experience producing detailed business and functional documentation, including BRDs, FRDs, process flows, and user stories.
Strong understanding of system integration, data flows, and end-to-end payment transaction lifecycles.
Experience supporting SIT/UAT testing cycles, defect management, and implementation activities.
Familiarity with banking regulations, compliance, and risk considerations related to payment systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead analysis activities across large project teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for documentation and analysis.
Experience with process modeling tools, data analysis platforms, or payment system technologies is advantageous.
