Business Analyst, Operations Department

We provide a fully-integrated service for our clients to access the financial and commodity derivative markets and will continue to expand into key financial and commodity markets.

We are looking for a talented Business Analyst to join the Operations Department to provide support, coordinate and facilitate the development of our backbone global post-trade processing & settlements system to drive operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

. Main accountability will be to perform functional validation & testing as well as plan & coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all enhancements and fixes delivered.

. Assist with production issue investigations and tracking by working with vendor & users on the appropriate solution and simulating the test scenarios with objective of verifying the results when fixes are delivered in the test environment, until soundly implemented & rectified.

. Assist and support system migration works such as data cleaning, data mapping and/or transformation etc.

. Be the subject matter expert and bridge and manage interactions between various business users, IT team and solution vendor.

. Participate in various enhancements initiatives to facilitate scoping, requirements gathering, idea generation and solution development

. Write user stories and/or business requirement documents (BRD) for vendor team's assessment of development scope.

. Project progress tracking and reporting

. Assist with any business initiatives that requires Business Analyst involvement to work out the operational process automation or enhancement needs in relation to the core backoffice post trade processing system in order to support the new initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements:

. Bachelor's Degree in Banking & Finance, Business or Information Technology

. Have basic understanding of financial instruments such as Exchange-Traded Derivatives or Forex products

. Project management or business analyst experience in the financial services industry is an advantage

. Meticulous with good organizational skills

. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

. Good written & verbal communications skills

. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
