Hyster-Yale Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is looking for a Business Analyst for the Finance team in APIC to join the team at its Singapore office. This role is responsible to manage market data and statistics to analyse market size, share and trends and communicate drivers to key sales personnel in a timely manner. The position will also provide business partner support to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Aftermarket.

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis the role will work cross-functionally with all areas of sales and marketing business to complete the Division's Sales & Margin and market analysis activities. This includes the preparation and timely submission of marketing reports, management reports, LRFF business plans, short term forecasts, Annual Operating plans together with monthly financial reports, financial analysis and commentary.

You will have full oversight on the P&L and key DSO drivers for the respective business units. You will review and vet on all new commercial dealer programs. You will have to manage a team and put in place PMP plans to develop your team to be your successor.

Pricing: The position must ensure List and D-Nett pricing in the Novo system are accurate and kept up to date. Scenario modelling and planning different pricing strategies for the respective API and Export markets as well as using the plant's quarterly current costs and predictive market indicators to undertake predictive margin modelling with the sales teams.

Forecasting: Ensure all forecasted sales and margin data by product and by class are updated in the TM1 system to ensure the data integrity of the systems. Provide volume-pricing analysis on new product development in each local market through each dealer. Build forecasts by market, by dealer and generate sales contribution statements. Sales planning headcount scheduling and marketing event planning.

Actuals: A core part of the function will be to analyse the actual sales and margins by class. Produce and EOC on the P&L and DSO, as well as generating Salesmen contribution statements. Using SAP to produce Labour and overhead spend analysis, all against PY, STF and AOP.

Inventory Management Programs: Using the FG inventory reports, monitor aged inventory profiling and in conjunction with the Commercial Manager, drive action plans to ensure inventory levels are reduced to a minimum.

New Dealership AR Account Programs: Manage appropriate dealer program growth plans and determine credit limits and short- to long-term programs. Liaise with the Commercial Manager on all third party financing and rental asset programs.

Job Requirements:

  • Min. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 5+ years in a similar role or equivalent commercial experience working with sales and marketing teams.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Advanced spreadsheet and database skills.
