Job Description:
- As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding and translating business needs into effective IT solutions, ensuring alignment with Company's strategic objectives and a strong focus on enhancing value.
Your responsibilities will fall into these core areas:
1. Strategic Business Analysis & Design Thinking:
- Needs Elicitation: Conduct in-depth business need analysis by proactively engaging with diverse stakeholders to deeply understand their goals, challenges, current processes, and underlying pain points, always maintaining a Customer First perspective.
- User-Centric Solutioning: Apply Design Thinking methodologies to thoroughly explore user needs, ideate innovative solutions, and prototype concepts, ensuring a human-centered approach to problem-solving and fostering Innovation.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify strategic opportunities for business process improvement, automation, and digital transformation initiatives that deliver significant Impact.
- Facilitation: Expertly facilitate workshops, brainstorming sessions, and stakeholder interviews to uncover root business problems and collaboratively define potential solutions.
2. Requirements Engineering & Documentation:
- Requirements Translation: Translate high-level business needs into detailed, clear, concise, and testable business requirements (both functional and non-functional), user stories, and comprehensive use cases.
- System Administration & Configuration: Configure and maintain F&B related applications, for example but not limited to Simphony, Sevenroom, Aigens Kiosk, EATEC or similar Recipe Inventory system with interfaces to Finance system.
- Operations Support: Provide day-to-day support for application issues and workflow improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve technical or operational issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Integration & Projects: Support integration with various sub-systems, for example: redemption system.
- Coordinate with IT and vendors for system upgrades, patches, and module implementations.
- Compliance & Reporting: Maintain system security in compliance with IT governance and data protection policies.
- Documentation Management: Develop and maintain thorough documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, data models, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, taking Ownership of documentation quality.
- Alignment & Feasibility: Ensure all requirements are meticulously aligned with organizational strategic objectives and technically feasible within the existing or planned architectural landscape.
3. Process Optimization & Problem Solving:
- Process Analysis & Improvement: Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas ripe for improvement. Design and recommend optimized future-state processes, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness, driving Innovation and Impact.
- Solution Engineering: Proactively identify and analyze complex business and technical problems, breaking them down into manageable components. Collaborate with technical architects, developers, and other IT professionals to engineer viable, sustainable, and scalable technical solutions that directly meet business requirements and strategic goals.
- Solution Evaluation: Evaluate potential solutions for their overall impact, technical feasibility, and strict alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
- Development Support: Provide continuous support to the development team throughout the entire software development lifecycle, clarifying requirements and efficiently resolving any issues that arise.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Quality Assurance:
- Liaison & Communication: Act as the primary liaison between business units and IT teams, ensuring clear, consistent, and proactive communication across all project phases.
- Expectation Management: Manage expectations of diverse stakeholders, including senior management, end-users, technical teams, and external vendors, fostering strong Collaboration.
- Negotiation & Consensus: Effectively negotiate and mediate between potentially conflicting stakeholder needs to achieve consensus and maintain project momentum.
- Testing Support: Support the creation of comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases based on defined requirements. Assist actively in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, rigorously ensuring that implemented solutions meet the specified business needs and deliver a positive Customer First experience.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master's Degree or MBA is a plus.
Experience:
- At least 5+ years of proven experience as an IT Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar role within an IT environment.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience working in F&B environment (Simphony Cloud experience an advantage).
- Experience in F&B related application system configuration, troubleshooting, and integration.
- Demonstrable experience with a variety of project methodologies (e.g., Agile Scrum, Waterfall), showcasing adaptability.
- Experience in E-commerce, Integrated Resorts, Hospitality or Casino systems is a significant advantage.
- Proficiency with standard business analysis tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Balsamiq).
