We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong domain expertise across Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Asset / Fund Management to act as a subject matter expert for technology and data teams. This role bridges investment, finance, and technology, ensuring accurate representation of fund structures, investment metrics, and investor reporting within enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
Business Translation & Solution Definition
- Partner with Investment Professionals, Portfolio Management, and Finance teams to gather and translate complex fund management requirements.
- Deep involvement in capital calls, distributions, cash flow forecasting, waterfall models, carried interest, and LP reporting.
- Guide technology teams on data models, reporting platforms, workflow automation, and financial logic specific to PE/VC and asset management environments.
Domain Expertise & Quality Assurance
- Act as the Private Equity / Venture Capital SME for technology teams, clarifying fund structures, investment lifecycles, and performance metrics such as IRR, TVPI, DPI.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure solutions accurately process fund financial data and meet business expectations.
- Map end‑to‑end fund and investment operations, identify system gaps, and recommend technology‑driven process improvements.
Cross‑Functional & Stakeholder Engagement
- Ensure technology initiatives align with investment strategy, regulatory requirements, and investor reporting standards.
- Support and enable application support teams by providing business context on fund systems and financial workflows.
- Build trusted relationships with Investment, Finance, Operations, and Technology stakeholders across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience
Domain & Functional Expertise (Essential)
- Strong hands‑on knowledge of the Private Equity / Venture Capital investment lifecycle, fund structures, and fund accounting principles.
- Experience within Fund Management, Asset Management, Investment Operations, Fund Administration, or PE/VC firms.
- Solid understanding of valuation concepts (DCF, comparables, multiples) and financial modelling logic (execution not required).
Experience
- 7+ years in a demanding financial domain role supporting investment or fund‑based businesses.
Core Competencies
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to technical teams.
- Proven experience in process mapping, requirements definition, and stakeholder management.
- Strong analytical mindset with a solution‑oriented approach.
