Business Analyst

Job Description

. We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to drive the modernization of our core Wealth Management systems, specifically focusing on the CPF Investment Scheme (CPFIS) and Supplementary Retirement Scheme (SRS) platforms.

. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating complex regulatory and business requirements into actionable deliverables for modern platforms.

. This role requires a deep understanding of legacy COBOL systems to effectively document existing business logic and support migration efforts.

Key Responsibilities

. Lead requirements gathering, business process analysis, and gap assessment for CPFIS, SRS, and related Wealth Management products.

. Work closely with COBOL SMEs to reverse-engineer legacy system logic and document complex business rules for modern platforms.

. Create high-quality documentation including Business Requirements Documents (BRD), Functional Specifications (FSD), Process Maps, and User Stories. Conduct workshops, interviews, and meetings with business and technical teams to elicit, validate, and prioritize requirements.

. Perform gap analysis, impact assessments, and identify process improvement opportunities. Support testing activities, defect resolution, and validation of new systems to ensure regulatory and functional compliance.

. Ensure all processes, documentation, and deliverables comply with banking regulations, internal standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.

. Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Financial Services, with direct exposure to Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Retirement Products (CPF, SRS, Mutual Funds, Insurance).

. Strong understanding of regulatory requirements related to CPFIS and SRS or equivalent schemes.

. Proven experience with requirements elicitation, process modelling (BPMN), and documentation (BRD, FSD, User Stories).

. Experience working with legacy COBOL systems is highly desirable.

. Solid stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.

. Analytical mindset with proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent.

. Professional certifications such as CBAP, IIBA, or equivalent are preferred.
