About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support core banking platform transformation initiatives within a fast-paced banking environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technology teams to gather, analyse, document, and validate business requirements across core banking systems such as Avaloq, Temenos, or similar platforms.

This role is critical in ensuring high-quality delivery of business and regulatory requirements while supporting Agile squads through the full project lifecycle, from requirement gathering to UAT and post go-live support.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirement Management

  • Work closely with Product Owners, business users, and squad members to define and scope business, regulatory, policy, and system requirements
  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, user stories, workflows, functional specifications, and process maps
  • Translate business requirements into clear and detailed documentation suitable for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Create supporting artefacts including presentations, models, diagrams, process flows, and requirement specifications

Stakeholder & Squad Collaboration

  • Facilitate discussions and communication across business and technology teams to drive alignment on scope, design decisions, and implementation approaches
  • Work collaboratively within Agile squads to ensure requirements are properly refined and prioritised
  • Support consensus building between stakeholders, product owners, and development teams

Testing, Validation & Training

  • Validate end-to-end requirements through walkthroughs, reviews, demos, and solution validation sessions
  • Prepare and execute UAT test cases and support defect tracking and resolution activities
  • Support user training and business readiness activities where required
  • Ensure smooth transition into production and provide post go-live support to business and IT teams

Risk & Governance

  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact project delivery or squad performance
  • Ensure compliance with banking, regulatory, and risk management requirements
  • Support governance processes, documentation standards, and audit requirements

Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing

  • Build expertise in designated functional or platform areas and share knowledge across the squad and wider teams
  • Contribute to process improvements, documentation standards, and Agile best practices
  • Support continuous enhancement initiatives within the core banking platform landscape

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within Banking or Financial Services transformation programmes
  • Prior experience working on core banking platforms such as Avaloq, Temenos, or similar systems is preferred
  • Wealth Management or Private Banking domain experience is advantageous
  • Strong experience in requirement gathering, business process analysis, and functional documentation
  • Hands-on experience working within Agile delivery environments
  • Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and risk considerations
  • Ability to work independently in fast-paced and ambiguous environments
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Finance, or related discipline preferred
