Job Description

We are hiring a Business Analyst to bridge business operations and technology by supporting, maintaining, and enhancing the IMOS platform to enable efficient voyage execution, accurate financials, and informed decision‑making.

The Position:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all IMOS-related incidents, service requests, and user enquiries.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across various IMOS modules, including Voyage Management, Chartering, Operations, Scheduling, Demurrage, and Finance.
  • Perform root-cause analysis and escalate complex issues to technical teams or vendors where required.
  • Monitor daily integrations, scheduled jobs, and data flows between IMOS and other systems (e.g., SAP, weather routing tools, market data feeds).
  • Maintain and update system configurations, reference data, and master data elements.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end operational activities related to voyage financials.
  • Administer user access, including provisioning, deprovisioning, and periodic access reviews.
  • Create and maintain documentation for recurring issues, support processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Collaborate with product owners and business analysts on enhancements, testing, and deployment of new IMOS features.
  • Build and maintain IMOS reports using standard out-of-the-box IMOS reporting features (Report Designer, Voyage Manager views, standard analytics, and configurable templates) to support business operations and decision-making.
  • Conduct training and refresher sessions for business users when required.

The Candidate:

  • 3-5 years of experience actively supporting or using IMOS or similar maritime commercial/operations systems.
  • .Strong understanding of shipping workflows such as chartering, voyage planning, bunker management, laytime/demurrage, and freight invoicing.
  • Experience with SQL queries for investigation and reporting is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with integrations, data validation, and system interfaces.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on responsiveness and service quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in maritime, shipping, or commodity trading organizations.
  • Hands-on exposure to IMOS system administration or configuration.
  • Knowledge of data governance, master data management, or process improvement projects.
  • Background in SAP or finance processes, with understanding of how IMOS voyage invoicing and financial data interfaces with SAP.
