Purpose and Scope
The Head of Bullion will lead in the expansion of the Bullion business under the brand name Lion Bullion. He/She is to develop new products beyond online retail, handles hedging within the risk management policy, pricing strategy, negotiate with refineries to ensure continuous supply of Bullions at most competitive pricing, enhancing the Lion Bullion platform and work with internal and external stakeholders. He/She will work closely with digital, operations, supply chain management, finance across the value chain. The role requires deep market expertise on precious metal sales and trading, entrepreneurial leadership and disciplined project management to deliver commercial results, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance in Singapore and across key markets.
Key Roles And Responsibilities
- Constantly develop new product launches to increase recurring income.
- Lead day‑to‑day bullion purchases, ensure properly hedged off and reconciled.
- Develop trading optionality's in precious metal to optimise margins, namely monitor market liquidity and forward trends and spreads, propose and lock in forward swaps options. .
- Responsible for the Lion Bullion P&L to ensure targets are achieved.
- Drive new revenue streams, product innovations, and pricing initiatives with a founder mentality.
- Work with financial/identified partners to expand the Lion Bullion presence..
- Constantly improve the Lion Bullion processes to ensure seamless purchase and customer experience.
- Work with communication team to promote the Lion Bullion image.
- Represent the organization at industry events; deliver market insights and client presentations.
- Translate complex market and risk concepts into clear recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and deliver bullion‑related projects across Trading, Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and IT.
- Refresh and update the precious metal news forum in the Lion Bullion website.
- Drive business process re‑engineering for bullion operations to enhance efficiency, automation, and control.
- Oversee system implementation, integration, data migration, and testing for trading and settlement platforms.
- Lead change management, UAT, training, and business readiness; publish dashboards and executive updates.
- Ensure activities align with internal risk frameworks and exposure limits; oversee hedging and inventory risk.
- All products launched comply with regulations and required licencing.
- Partner closely with Legal/Compliance to maintain robust governance and audit readiness.
- Ensure smooth execution of physical deliveries, vault operations, logistics, settlement, and documentation.
Key Skills, Competencies & Behaviours
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, banking related discipline.
- 10+ years in financial services with bullion/precious metals management preferred.
- Proven experience leading a Bullion product launch and delivering large‑scale product launches.
- Strong understanding of bullion trading, settlement, risk management, and market microstructure.
- Familiarity with treasury systems, trading platforms, settlement systems, and MAS regulations is an advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication; confident with senior stakeholders and clients.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen; comfortable operating in fast‑moving markets.
