Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Building Manager to oversee the operations and maintenance of a commercial property. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day building operations, managing vendors, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team responsible for building operations and facilities management
- Oversee outsourced services including M&E systems, security, cleaning, landscaping, and pest control
- Ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance works are carried out in accordance with contractual requirements
- Conduct regular inspections of the building and all M&E systems to ensure optimal performance
- Manage vendors and monitor service standards and performance
- Prepare management reports, budgets, and vendor evaluations
- Manage tender processes including sourcing, evaluation, and contract awards
- Drive sustainability initiatives in line with Green Mark standards
- Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations, including drills and audits in accordance with SCDF requirements
- Liaise with relevant authorities for licenses, permits, and regulatory compliance
- Manage tenant relations, including fit-out, reinstatement, and feedback handling
Requirements
- Degree in Facilities Management, Building Services, Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in building management
- At least 3 years of managerial experience
- Must have experience managing commercial buildings (office, business park, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of M&E systems and building operations
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Certified Fire Safety Manager will be an advantage
