Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Building & Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the daily maintenance operations of our 7-storey facility. This includes warehouse spaces, offices, storage units, air-conditioning systems, passenger and cargo lifts, parking lots, CCTV surveillance systems, and the company's vehicle fleet.
You will play a crucial role in ensuring building safety, operational efficiency, cleanliness, and adherence to fire safety regulations. This is a hands-on supervisory position suited for a reliable team leader with technical know-how and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Operations
- Supervise daily building maintenance tasks, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical systems, and general facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure optimal operation of all systems including CCTV, lift systems, and parking areas.
- Monitor and manage the servicing and upkeep of the company's vehicle fleet.
Fire Safety & Compliance
- Conduct routine fire safety checks and ensure full compliance with local fire safety regulations.
- Oversee the maintenance and readiness of fire safety equipment and systems.
Facility Cleanliness & Upkeep
- Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of all building areas including common spaces, warehouses, and storage rooms.
Team Leadership & Vendor Management
- Lead a small team of maintenance staff, providing training, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
Budgeting & Reporting
- Assist with budgeting for maintenance activities and implement cost-effective measures.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, inspections, and incident reports submit regular updates to management.
Emergency Preparedness
- Develop and implement emergency response procedures for breakdowns, safety hazards, or urgent repairs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum Secondary School education (GCE O/N Level not required).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a building maintenance supervisory role, preferably in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing), fire safety regulations, and CCTV infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience managing vehicle fleets and building maintenance vendors.
- Effective team management and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication abilities to liaise with internal teams, external vendors, and authorities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, Fire Safety, Building Maintenance) are an added advantage.
