Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Pre-Sales Visualization & RFP Support (10%): Lead the creation of BIM models, explanation drawings, and animations for client RFP responses collaborate with Sales to provide technical marketing assets and automatic take-offs for rapid-response budgetary planning.
BIM Standards & Protocol Governance (10%): Create and manage in-house BIM standards (layers, line weights, annotations) develop and maintain project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and protocols to ensure consistency across the global portfolio.
Product Integration & Library Management (15%): Partner with the Product Team to develop and update the BIM object library for internal and supplier equipment ensure parametric models include accurate sizing and naming conventions. Laise with equipment vendors and material suppliers for their latest BIM models.
Team Leadership & BIM Support (45%): Govern and train a team of BIM technicians provide expert technical support for BIM software and troubleshoot complex modeling issues encountered by the design or delivery teams. Manage the BIM files as the point of contact, receive comments and markups from the technical teams, understand, digest and distribute to self and BIM technicians to execute. Ensure quality of BIM work. The BIM technicians are expected to be in Shanghai and the BIM manager to be stationed in Hong Kong or Singapore with the Design and Engineering Team.
Cross-Functional Coordination (15%): Interface with Mechanical, Electrical, and Architectural leads to ensure clash detection and multidisciplinary coordination assist the Delivery team in resolving site issues using BIM data. Ensure that the disciplines are following the BIM standards and are filed accordingly.
Continuous Improvement (5%): Stay technically proficient with the latest BIM developments and integrate best practices into company procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field is desired.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of work experience in engineering/design, with at least 6 years specifically in the Data Center sector.
Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is mandatory. Strong understanding of parametric modeling and construction methodologies (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, ICT, ELV, Security Systems, ETC). Compliant to AIA BIM and digital delivery documents Level Of Detail (LOD) ISO 19650 Exchange Information Requirements, Common Data Environment, Information Delivery Milestones compliant.
Knowledge: Have a reasonable technical and operational understanding of the needs and requirements of other trades and disciplines.
