Building Construction Supervisor

Job Summary

Manage and lead the building construction formwork team on-site, ensuring safe, compliant, and timely execution of formwork activities aligned with project schedules and local industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the formwork team to execute building construction formwork activities effectively on-site, ensuring alignment with project goals
• Inspect ongoing formwork works to verify compliance with safety protocols and quality standards, mitigating risks and maintaining site safety
• Oversee formwork operations to ensure adherence to local industry guidelines and project requirements, driving consistent quality and regulatory compliance
• Track and report formwork progress against the project master schedule to facilitate timely completion and proactive issue resolution
• Prepare, review, and update formwork activity schedules to align with overall project timelines, optimizing resource allocation and workflow
• Communicate progress and coordinate formwork activities through regular project meetings, fostering collaboration among stakeholders
• Apply knowledge of local construction practices and regulatory requirements relevant to HDB, factory, and condominium projects to ensure project compliance
• Perform other project-related tasks as assigned to support successful project delivery and continuous improvement

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess at least 8 years of local working experience as a Formwork Supervisor with demonstrated ability to supervise construction projects
• Hold a relevant local vocational supervisor level certificate
• Demonstrate ability to interpret construction drawings, schematics, and construction documents accurately
• Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills to effectively liaise with main contractors, sub-contractors, and workers
