BUILDING CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Site Management: Oversee all on-site construction activities, managing subcontractor and staff schedules to meet project milestones.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures to prevent site hazards.
• Quality Control: Inspect ongoing work, materials, and installations against blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Coordination & Planning: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to discuss project details and adjustments.
• Resource Management: Manage equipment and coordinate material procurement/deliveries to prevent work stoppages
• Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience: Previous experience in construction, often requiring technical knowledge in building processes.
• Leadership: Strong team management abilities to direct crews and subcontractors.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction drawings, building codes, and safety standards.

Communication: Effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and workers

Common Qualifications (Singapore context)

• Site Supervisor license or equivalent certification.
• Safety certifications (e.g., WSQ BCSS or similar).
• Relevant technical diploma in civil engineering or building services.
