Job Description

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will leverage a minimum of 2 years experience in treaty reinsurance broking documentation to collaboratively support the broking team in delivering high-quality service and technical competency. This role drives operational excellence in treaty placements and servicing and ensuring consistent broking solutions for clients and reinsurers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation and verification of renewal information packages to enable brokers to secure contract certainty efficiently
  • Manage and maintain comprehensive broking files and documentation, both physical and electronic, to support accurate record-keeping and retrieval
  • Draft and prepare slips and cover notes for broker review, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract wordings and market norms
  • Collaborate with brokers to monitor signed lines and finalise slips for transmission to reinsurers, ensuring contract certainty and timely communication
  • Maintain and update marketing and placement sheets to reflect current treaty business status and support strategic decision-making
  • Monitor and track the return of counter-signed reinsurer and reinsured signing pages to confirm contract execution
  • Update the NetReibs broking system accurately and efficiently to reflect current business activities and support reporting needs
  • Prepare brokerage reports and endorsements/addendums as required, facilitating broker review and confirmation
  • Liaise with the Technical Accounts Division to coordinate invoicing readiness for XOL contracts, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
  • Maintain detailed records for all Special Acceptances to support compliance and audit requirements
  • Assist brokers in preparing reports requested by management or clients, contributing to transparent communication and service delivery
  • Support business travel and meeting arrangements for brokers to facilitate client engagement and operational efficiency
  • Train and mentor junior team members to elevate the technical competency and service standards of the broking support team
  • Demonstrate professionalism, business etiquette, and uphold the reputation of UIB Group through honest and fair dealings with colleagues, clients, and industry partners
  • Manage workload effectively under pressure, applying strong time management skills to meet deadlines and service commitments
  • Take ownership of personal learning and development, staying current with best practices and legal developments relevant to treaty reinsurance broking

Required competencies and certifications

  • Hold Certificate of General Insurance (CGI) or other insurance-related qualifications compliant with MAS 502 requirements
  • Possess at least 2 years of experience handling administrative and documentation tasks within treaty reinsurance broking

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to produce professional documentation and reports
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment to achieve shared goals
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and data management
