About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Broadcast Manager to lead our broadcast operations. This role involves overseeing live event transmissions, managing technical teams, and ensuring high-quality delivery of audio-visual content across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership and operational management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the broadcast team, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring operational excellence.
- Oversee reception and distribution of feeds via Fiber, Satellite, and IP technologies, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to TX.
- Maintain and supervise audio-visual systems, including multi-language audio tracks, video formats, and live event setups.
- Manage ingest scheduling, routing of live feeds, and recording processes.
- Monitor and maintain audio and video quality during live broadcasts, ensuring compliance with broadcasting standards.
- Coordinate with internal and external technical facilities for live feed acquisition.
- Oversee servers, storage, network switches, power supplies, and other critical broadcast equipment.
- Implement quality control and manage transcoding of incoming streams and media package transfers.
- Ensure routers and transmission systems are updated according to event schedules.
- Identify, resolve, and proactively prevent technical issues to maintain uninterrupted broadcast operations.
- Coordinate with external feed venues and stakeholders to guarantee error-free transmission.
- Conduct and supervise routine checks and preventive maintenance of MCR equipment.
- Maintain detailed documentation of shift reports, technical incidents, and resolutions.
- Drive process improvements and support strategic planning for broadcast operations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing live broadcast operations and leading technical teams.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, able to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, able to convey technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to translate business and user requirements into technical solutions.
- Team-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable to frequent changes and capable of remaining calm under pressure.
- Strong understanding of AV technologies, broadcast systems, and live event management.
- Willingness to perform in rotational shifts as required.
