About the role
Brighton College (Singapore), is seeking an inspirational Teacher of Mathematics to take a leading role in delivering a world‑class maths curriculum across the Senior School from August 2026. This is a pivotal opportunity to shape and elevate the college's mathematical provision as Brighton College (Singapore) continues its growth from a first‑class Prep School into one of the region's leading all‑through schools, offering education from Pre‑Nursery to Year 13.

What you will be doing

  • Take responsibility for the teaching, progress and attainment of all pupils in Years 7 to 13.
  • Lead on all aspects of curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Promote excellence, creativity and innovation in all areas of the maths curriculum.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Responsible for all aspects of assessment, tracking and reporting for maths in your taught classes.
  • Demonstrate the experience and ability to teach maths across all relevant Key Stages (including IGCSE/GCSE and A-level).
  • Act as an outstanding classroom practitioner, with the ability to lead by example.
  • Devise and implement rigorous self-evaluation processes.
  • Participate in the department's extension and enrichment programme.
  • Demonstrate the experience and expertise needed to support pupils in future years with applications to leading universities, including Oxford and Cambridge and other world-class universities.
  • Ensure pupils have opportunities to prepare for, and participate in, global maths competitions, providing appropriate stretch and challenge.
  • Work closely with the Head of Maths, Heads of EAL and AEN to develop pathways for pupils requiring additional support in your taught classes.
  • Work with the Head of Maths and Prep School middle and senior leaders to support a smooth transition in Maths from Year 6 to Year 7.
  • Support the development and refinement of the required KS3/4/5 curriculum and department documentation, both for current and prospective parents. Act as Exams Officer for Prep and early
    Senior cohorts.
  • Contribute to the highest standards of safeguarding and to the school's pastoral system, acting as a tutor for a Senior School year group.
  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school.
  • Undertake any other reasonable management requests in support of the school's mission, vision, and values.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in maths (or any other specialisation related to Maths), with PGCE or equivalent.
  • Expert knowledge or experience of successfully delivering Mathematics GCSEs/IGCSEs and A-levels (essential).
  • International school experience (preferred).
  • Exemplifies the Brighton College (Singapore) values of Curiosity, Confidence and Kindness.
  • An international outlook and understanding of working in diverse environments.
