Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Branch Manager to oversee the daily operations of our accounting firm and ensure smooth service delivery across client accounts, compliance timelines, and internal team management.
The Branch Manager will be responsible for managing operational efficiency, client servicing standards, staff performance, and ensuring compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements including ACRA, IRAS, and statutory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting firm, ensuring efficiency and timely delivery of services.
- Manage workflow allocation across bookkeeping, financial reporting, tax, payroll, and corporate secretarial functions.
- Ensure all client deliverables are completed accurately and within deadlines.
- Develop and improve internal SOPs and operational processes.
2. Team Management
- Supervise and lead accounting staff, executives, and support personnel.
- Review staff performance and provide guidance, training, and coaching.
- Manage manpower planning, resource allocation, and team productivity.
- Maintain staff discipline and operational accountability.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the main escalation point for client operational matters.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure service quality.
- Handle client onboarding processes and operational setup.
- Address operational issues and improve client experience.
4. Compliance & Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), IRAS requirements, and ACRA regulations.
- Review financial reports, GST submissions, tax filings, and statutory deadlines.
- Ensure internal controls and document management standards are maintained.
- Monitor compliance risks and implement corrective actions where required.
5. Business Growth Support
- Support management in branch growth initiatives and operational scaling.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost efficiency.
- Assist in business development by supporting operational feasibility for new clients.
- Support hiring and staff expansion plans.
Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of accounting firm experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore accounting, tax, GST, and compliance requirements.
- Familiar with Xero, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Good client management and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- ACCA / CPA / ISCA qualification preferred.
- Experience managing SME client portfolios.
- Experience in accounting firm operations management.
