Job Responsibilities
1) Maintain and compliance with the criteria for the appointment set out in the MAS Notice 622A at all times.
2) Lead, direct and control the activities of the Branch, profit centre and all the operations of the organisation. Responsible for the management and conduct of the business of the Branch.
3) Establish and oversee budgets, plans, policies and programmes that will effectively implement the business strategies and objectives set by the Head Office.
4) Managing, overseeing, and controlling the business activities in compliance with the Banking Act, Regulations, and Notices.
5) Set and monitor the performance of the Branch against standards and targets in areas such as administration efficiency, cost control, sales revenue, legal compliance and risk management.
6) Monitor the Branch competitive environment to identify business threats and opportunities and develop business plans to address them.
7) Liaise with Head Office to ensure that the Branch strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the business and align with the overall corporate objectives.
8) Lead, direct, evaluate and develop a team of managers to ensure that the Branch business strategy is implemented effectively, consistently and according to established guidelines and budgets. Responsible for the actions of all employees in the branch and the conduct of the business of the Bank.
9) Create and analyse management information and reports to show the Senior Management.
10) Ensuring the business planning and review the bank policies regularly following the various changes and updates in financial regulations.
11) Plan and review marketing activities, results and expectations with employees on regular basis.
12) Reviewing insurance, accounting, auditing and other board related aspects of the Branch.
13) Ensure no infringement of local regulatory requirements.
14) Manage and improve management system of the Branch by recruiting, selecting, training, coaching and counselling programmes.
15) Brings discipline in managers and their communication skills, strategies, planning, forecasting, monitoring projects etc.
