Job Summary
Perform bookkeeping and accounting tasks to support financial accuracy and customer account management for a leading medical supplier in the marine and shipping industry.
Responsibilities
- Process accounts receivable transactions to maintain accurate financial records
- Verify incoming remittances and funds to ensure correct payment application
- Prepare and send monthly statements of accounts to customers to facilitate timely payments
- Follow up with customers on outstanding payments to improve cash flow
- Reconcile invoices and delivery orders against customer purchase orders to ensure billing accuracy
- Generate and send electronic invoices to customers for efficient billing
- Perform administrative tasks to support accounting and customer service functions
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma, Advanced, or Higher Certificate in an accounts-related field
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Proficient bookkeeping knowledge applied to maintain accurate financial records
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and communications
- Effective telephone communication skills to liaise with customers professionally
- Computer literacy to operate accounting and office software efficiently
- Demonstrated responsibility, commitment, and teamwork in a professional environment
