Job Purpose:
Based in Singapore and reporting to the Head of FI& Public Sector Origination within the Bonds division of Capital Markets,the successful candidate will be responsible for advising financial institutions across APAC region in the primary bond markets.
The role will be focused on originating and executing debt capital markets transactions by providing strategic funding advice and securing Bonds mandates.This includes addressing clients funding, capital and regulatory requirements,as well as supporting their access to international debt capital markets across a broad range of products (e.g. senior unsecured, covered bonds, subordinated debt, capital instruments and ESG bonds).
As part of the Bonds team, the individual will work closely with Syndicate and EMTN Desk functions on a day-to-day basis and maintain strong alignment with Relationship Managers and other product areas (including Trading and Derivatives) to identify and develop new business and cross-selling opportunities. You will also take initiative in the unit's digitalisation and innovation efforts.
Key Activities:
- Originating and executing debt capital markets transactions by providing strategic fundingadvice and securing Bonds mandates

Formal Education:
- Bachelor's degreeMaster's degree in Finance or a related field preferred
Specialist knowledge:
- Solid experience in debt capital markets with strong understanding and exposure to financial institutions (ideally minimum of 5 years)
- Strong understanding of FI funding instruments (including capital instruments), and capital market dynamics
- Proven client origination and relationship management skills with institutional clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong team player with high level of ownership and execution focus
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting FI
- Fluency in English required as it is the main office language. Proficiency in another Asian language can be helpful to communicate with clients and potential clients / read relevant material in the client's language
- Strong analytical and technical skill set, including proficiency in Bloomberg and Microsoft Office IT and Digital affine
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under tight timelines
- Willingness to travel across the region
