Zycraft USV is a Singapore company specialising in the development of advanced Unmanned Surface Vessels. The company designs and markets these vessels to commercial as well as government customers worldwide. First formed in 2011, we use state of the art materials for the construction of our vessels and create proprietary software that is used to control the vessels autonomously. Unmanned vessels are becoming a reality now and this is an exciting business to be in.

Job Summary

You will operate and navigate advanced unmanned surface vessels, applying your maritime expertise to ensure safe and efficient vessel handling while contributing to the innovation and future growth of autonomous marine technology.

Responsibilities

• Navigate vessels independently using advanced sea navigation skills to ensure safe and effective operations onboard
• Apply helmsman or steersman expertise to control and maneuver vessels in diverse maritime environments
• Utilize your maritime experience, including backgrounds such as Navy, Coastguard, or SCDF, to enhance operational safety and mission success
• Communicate clearly and effectively in English to coordinate with team members and support vessel operations
• Develop and apply technical skills related to autonomous vessel systems to support innovation and operational excellence within a fleet of smart boats

Required competencies and certifications

• Possess a valid PPCDL or helmsman/steersman qualification to legally and safely operate vessels
• Demonstrate proficiency in sea navigation to perform core maritime duties effectively

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience with Navy, Coastguard, or SCDF operations to leverage relevant maritime knowledge and discipline
