Role Summary
We are looking for a motivated Biotechnologist, you will execute routine and critical manufacturing operations within the Purification area, ensuring consistent production of clinical and/or commercial biologics. You will operate and maintain bioreactors and related equipment in compliance with GMP guidelines and SOPs, contributing to process reliability and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Chromatography & Purification Operations (Core Focus)
- Operate purification systems such as AKTA, TFF units, and chromatography columns (affinity, ion exchange, SEC, HIC).
- Prepare and formulate buffers, execute chromatography steps, and conduct in-process sampling and analytics (e.g., pH, conductivity).
- Carry out column packing/unpacking, membrane filtration (UF/DF), and cleaning-in-place (CIP) routines.
- Record activities and process parameters in electronic batch records (EBRs) or paper-based documentation according to cGMP standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting purification deviations and contribute to root cause analysis.
- Process Documentation & Compliance
- Follow detailed SOPs, Master Batch Records (MBRs), and work instructions to ensure accurate and compliant operations.
- Participate in process improvements, documentation updates, and equipment validation support where necessary.
- Maintain proper housekeeping, 5S standards, and cleanroom protocols in purification suites..
Must-Have Qualifications
- Studied in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Microbiology, or related life-science field.
- Minimally internship experience of hands-on experience in chromatography.
- Familiarity with GMP, GCP, and GDP standards in a biologics manufacturing environment.
- Strong aseptic technique and cleanroom behavior.
- Candidates with hands-on exposure to AKTA systems, column chromatography, or membrane-based separation will be strongly preferred.
- Proficient in documentation.
