Bioprocess Engineer / Process Engineer

Recruit123 is currently partnering with an established biopharmaceutical organization to hire a Bioprocess Engineer / Process Engineer (Biologics).

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting commercial-scale manufacturing operations, technology transfers, and process optimization for a cutting-edge biologics pipeline.

What you will be doing:

In this role, you will focus on optimizing upstream and downstream manufacturing processes, ensuring strict adherence to cGMP standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include monitoring and troubleshooting bioreactors, chromatography systems, and ultrafiltration units to maximize yield and operational efficiency. You will execute technical batch records, lead process validation activities, investigate deviations and root causes, and collaborate closely with QA, QC, and validation teams.

Additionally, you will participate in technology transfer projects for new product introductions, write comprehensive standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical reports, and ensure all manufacturing operations comply with regulatory requirements and facility safety protocols.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking candidates with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related discipline, backed by at least 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a cGMP biomanufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.

You should possess a solid technical foundation in mammalian cell culture or microbial fermentation and downstream purification unit operations.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills are required, alongside the ability to manage technical documentation and handle floor-level troubleshooting under tight production timelines.
