Job Description

  • Role: Bioprocess Development Engineer
  • Location: On-site
  • Payout: $20,000 monthly (mammalian cell culture)

Role Overview:

This contractual Large-Scale Bioprocess Engineer will join a biologics manufacturing team in Singapore to support the production of therapeutic proteins under cGMP conditions. The role involves daily hands-on execution of mammalian cell culture, downstream purification, and aseptic operations in a cleanroom environment. This work directly contributes to the development and delivery of life-saving biologic medicines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cGMP manufacturing operations including equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and batch documentation.

• Operate mammalian cell culture processes and monitor bioreactor parameters such as pH, dissolved oxygen, CO₂/O₂ levels, and cell performance.

• Execute downstream purification processes including chromatography, filtration, and pH/conductivity adjustments.

• Apply aseptic techniques for material handling and cell culture operations while maintaining cleanroom standards.

• Utilize process control systems (e.g., Unicorn and DeltaV) and ensure accurate completion of SOPs, logbooks, and batch records.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in biotechnology, life sciences, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.

• Knowledge of biopharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing processes is advantageous.

• Experience in a manufacturing, laboratory, or cleanroom environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with cGMP practices and regulated manufacturing environments.

• Positive team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills.

Contract position includes shift allowances, daily company bus from MRT stations to Tuas site, and fully paid medical insurance with family enrollment options.
