Building Information Modelling (BIM) Technician

Job Description

The BIM Technician is responsible for preparing, developing, and maintaining accurate Building Information Models and construction drawings to support project design, coordination, and execution. The role involves close coordination with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure models comply with project requirements, BIM standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop BIM models and detailed drawings using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and related BIM tools.

• Produce coordinated shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built drawings.

• Assist in clash detection and coordination between architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.

• Update and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure compliance with BIM standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.

• Support project teams with technical drawings and documentation.

• Attend coordination meetings and resolve design or modelling issues.

• Manage BIM data and ensure accuracy and consistency of information.

• Prepare BIM-related reports and documentation as required.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related field.

• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in BIM modelling and drafting.

• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and other BIM software.

• Good understanding of construction drawings, building services, and coordination processes.

• Familiar with Singapore BIM standards and submission requirements (BCA, LTA, URA, etc.) is an advantage.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
