Job Summary
The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all BIM-related activities across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise in BIM and M&E systems, with excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure model integrity, accuracy, and compliance throughout all project stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and coordinate BIM workflows for M&E projects from design to construction.
- Develop, maintain, and update BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD in accordance with project and client standards.
- Coordinate and integrate architectural, structural, and M&E models to ensure design accuracy and clash-free models.
- Conduct clash detection, prepare coordination reports, and resolve conflicts through collaboration with project teams.
- Set up and manage BIM execution plans (BEP), model standards, and naming conventions.
- Create and manage Revit worksets, work-sharing processes, and model linking for multi-disciplinary teams.
- Liaise with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless BIM coordination and data exchange.
- Assist in training, mentoring, and supporting BIM modellers or draftsmen to ensure consistent modeling quality.
- Manage drawings and models on platforms such as SharePoint, FTP, or other project collaboration systems.
- Ensure adherence to workplace safety standards and company policies at all times.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in BIM coordination within the construction or M&E industry.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with Singapore BIM standards and HDB project requirements will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple project deadlines.
