BIM Coordinator

We are seeking a highly capable BIM Coordinator to act as the central interface for our HDB project's digital delivery. The successful candidate will drive the VDC reporting process, manage complex clash resolution between residential disciplines, and provide critical on-site support to ensure models meet strict HDB and regulatory submission standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. VDC & Coordination Management (Core Focus)

. Report Generation: Independently draft and compile comprehensive VDC reports, coordination reports, and Issue Reports for HDB residential developments.

. Submission & Sign-off: Prepare Clash Matrices and manage the formal Sign-off documentation process for various project stages.

. Issue Resolution: Go beyond simple clash detection analyze conflicts in Navisworks or Revizto and propose viable technical solutions to the project team.

. Deadline Tracking: Ensure timely tracking of all BIM submissions to meet HDB's project milestones and authority requirements.

2. Inter-disciplinary Interface & Site Support

. Integration: Lead the integration of MEP and Civil & Structural (C&S) models, ensuring alignment with HDB's standard architectural layouts and precast requirements.

. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary BIM point of contact for the main contractor, consultants, and HDB technical officers.

. Site Verification: Attend site meetings and working sessions. Verify Incidental Spaces and Site Drafting requirements directly with the construction team to ensure the model reflects site reality.

3. Technical Supervision & Quality Control

. Model QA/QC: Oversee the production of BIM models, ensuring correct project base points, coordinate accuracy, and compliance with HDB BIM objects/standards.

. Drawing Production: Supervise the generation of SEM (Services & Equipment Mounting) drawings and shop drawings from 3D models to ensure they meet construction standards.

. Technical Review: Verify modeling details including structural openings, lift shafts, and MEP routing (delivery and replacement paths) prior to submission.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience:

. Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, M&E, or a related construction discipline.

. Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator on HDB residential or large-scale building projects.

. Familiarity with Singapore's BIM submission procedures and HDB-specific VDC workflows is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

. Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Navisworks or Revizto for clash management is essential.

. Modelling Tools: Proficiency in Revit (Architecture/Structure/MEP).

. Documentation: Exceptional English writing skills are a strict requirement. Must be able to independently write professional technical reports and correspondence without supervision.

Key Competencies:

. Conflict Management: Ability to not just identify clashes, but actively resolve them between disciplines (e.g., resolving MEP routing against precast C&S constraints).

. Construction Awareness: Strong understanding of on-site construction constraints, specifically regarding DfMA, precast installation, and A&A works.

. Leadership: Ability to guide Modelers in producing accurate 2D deliverables and maintaining rigorous model standards.
