Job Summary
As a BIM Archi/Structure Coordinator, you will lead coordination efforts across consultants, subcontractors, and engineers to deliver accurate BIM models and shop drawings that support large-scale construction projects. You will drive resolution of structural design discrepancies and ensure compliance with project standards, contributing to seamless construction workflows.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and engineers to align structural and architectural project requirements
- Manage and prepare BIM models and shop drawings to support construction activities and ensure accuracy
- Oversee coordination of structural works throughout the construction process to maintain project timelines
- Apply detailed knowledge of structural and architectural specifications to identify and resolve design discrepancies
- Liaise with internal teams, external parties, and authorities to address construction issues and ensure regulatory compliance
- Maintain BIM systems and enforce standards across construction projects to optimize digital workflows
- Prepare and conduct weekly progress reports and technical meetings with clients and consultants to communicate project status
- Monitor subcontractors and vendors to ensure adherence to project specifications and VDC implementation standards
- Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) and lead resolution of disputes or coordination issues with trade subcontractors
- Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts within BIM models to prevent construction delays
- Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) checks on BIM models to maintain data integrity
- Utilize expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360 to execute BIM coordination tasks effectively
- Manage time efficiently and collaborate as a proactive team player to meet tight project deadlines
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
- Minimum 3 years of coordination experience in construction projects
- Familiarity with Singapore Building & Construction regulations
- Proficient in producing structural and architectural shop drawings
- Experience with Substation/SP/LTA projects (mandatory)
- Expert-level skills in Revit and AutoCAD, with working knowledge of Navisworks and BIM 360
- Knowledge of BIM processes and systems (mandatory)
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Industry BIM certifications such as Revit Professional and BCA BIM courses
- Proficiency with Bluebeam or other markup and design review tools
- Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Self-driven with effective time management abilities
