Job Description

Big Data Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide operational support and ensure SLI of Applications
  • Troubleshoot Batch Issues & root causes to Mitigate Impacts to SLA
  • Proactively identify and identify opportunities for preventive Maintenance
  • Respond on time to the queries raised by various business units
  • Provide Timely updates (Status, Progress, Issues, and resolutions) to Business Stakeholders
  • Participate in a Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity exercise

Job Requirements:

  • Up to 4 years of IT experience
  • Proven analytical abilities with solid experience in a Production Support setting.
  • Strong SQL and Unix shell scripting
  • Incident, problem, and service Outage management experience is a plus.
  • Good Communication and Articulation Skills
  • Familiarity with Teradata or Hadoop.
  • Familiarity with job scheduling is a plus
  • Available for 24.7 work involving shifts to support AMS
