Big Data Support Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide operational support and ensure SLI of Applications
- Troubleshoot Batch Issues & root causes to Mitigate Impacts to SLA
- Proactively identify and identify opportunities for preventive Maintenance
- Respond on time to the queries raised by various business units
- Provide Timely updates (Status, Progress, Issues, and resolutions) to Business Stakeholders
- Participate in a Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity exercise
Job Requirements:
- Up to 4 years of IT experience
- Proven analytical abilities with solid experience in a Production Support setting.
- Strong SQL and Unix shell scripting
- Incident, problem, and service Outage management experience is a plus.
- Good Communication and Articulation Skills
- Familiarity with Teradata or Hadoop.
- Familiarity with job scheduling is a plus
- Available for 24.7 work involving shifts to support AMS
