About The Role

Join our Central Bids team as a key member supporting the firm's principal global sectors, legal practice areas, and international offices. This dynamic team of around 22 dedicated bid professionals has played a pivotal role in driving substantial process improvements and increasing win rates across the business. As part of our regional bid team, you will work closely with colleagues throughout Asia Pacific, collaborating on initiatives aimed at both retaining valued clients and attracting new business opportunities. Your efforts will draw upon the combined expertise and resources of the Central Bids Team as well as the APAC Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) Team, ensuring all activities are closely aligned with local market requirements and strategic objectives.

As Bids Manager, you will lead the full bid process for our Asia offices, ensuring each opportunity is expertly managed from start to finish. You will work closely with Bid Managers from across the firm, the broader APAC BD&M Team, and regional Bid Partners who are at the forefront of leading key opportunities.

Key duties include engaging with clients to clarify their needs, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, overseeing bid production and strategy, and maintaining high standards of creativity and project management. You'll also drive continuous improvement by coaching team members, managing content libraries, and analysing bid outcomes. Your work will play a crucial role in securing new business and supporting the firm's growth across the APAC region.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. You're confident working in a fast-paced environment and possess diplomacy and tact, earning trust and respect from senior colleagues. In addition, you value teamwork and enjoy collaborating with others to achieve shared goals.

To succeed in this role, you should have at least five years experience in a similar position within the Asia Pacific region, with previous involvement in bids management, including advising on bid approach and strategy preferably in legal services or another professional services sector. You possess a track record of writing and editing high quality, compelling client-facing documents, as well as experience coaching presentation teams to ensure strong delivery. Knowledge of the energy, infrastructure, technology, science, or industry sectors will give you an added advantage. A fundamental understanding of legal concepts and issues is a must, as our diverse team values foundational legal knowledge. Fluency in both English (writing and speaking) and Chinese (writing and speaking) is required, enabling effective communication within the region.
