Objective of this role:
JFE Engineering Corp. has a long history of financial strength, award-winning building quality, and unwavering commitment to client satisfaction in Chemical Plant Construction. We're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager (SEA) to lead the large-scale projects development across Southeast Asia, including Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. The regional leadership role will work closely with Japan HQ and regional subsidiaries to drive growth strategies, strengthen sales excellence frameworks and build a high-performing regional team.
Key Responsibilities:
Regional Strategy & Growth
. Develop and execute regional go-to-market strategies for corporate and government sectors, aligning with overall business objectives.
. Identify new markets, key accounts and large project opportunities across Southeast Asia.
Performance Management
. Set and oversee sales targets and KPIs for all country teams.
. Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews to ensure consistent performance achievement.
. Monitor pipeline health and forecast accuracy across the region.
Sales Excellence & Enablement
. Establish a unified regional sales playbook and standardized sales processes.
. Ensure consistent CRM and sales methodologies across countries.
. Promote best practice sharing to strengthen regional sales capabilities.
Leadership & Talent Development
. Support Country Managers to close skill gaps and improve performance.
. Build succession pipelines and develop regional sales leaders.
. Foster a high-performance, collaborative sales culture.
Stakeholder Collaboration
. Partner with engineering and business units to align solutions with client needs.
. Collaborate with support functions to ensure compliant, efficient sales operations.
. Act as a key liaison between Southeast Asia Teams and Japan HQ
Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
. At least 10 years of sales experience with at least 5 years of regional leadership experience role.
. Proven track record managing multi-country teams in corporate and government markets.
. Strong strategic thinking, analytical ability and cross-cultural leadership skills.
. Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
. Experience in EPC, industrial, infrastructure or chemical plant projects is a strong advantage.
. Proficiency in Japanese language is highly desirable in order to communicate with Japanese companies and Japan HQ.
