Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and personable Barista to lead Front of House duties at GLAZE's new cafe at LEICA Singapore on Beach Road. You will prepare high-quality coffee, welcome guests warmly, and maintain a polished café environment in a premium retail setting.
Responsibilities
Barista Craft
- Prepare and serve high-quality café beverages consistently to meet customer expectations
- Dial in espresso machines and perform daily coffee quality control to ensure beverage standards
- Maintain and clean coffee equipment to ensure optimal operation and hygiene
Front of House & Guest Experience
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally to create a positive first impression
- Manage customer flow to maintain a calm and efficient service environment
- Maintain café presentation, cleanliness, and visual standards to enhance guest experience
- Arrange pastries and baked goods thoughtfully on display to maintain freshness and visual appeal
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately to ensure smooth payment processing
Operations Support
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock to avoid shortages
- Coordinate with suppliers as needed to support café operations
- Assist with daily opening and closing procedures to ensure readiness and security
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior experience in specialty coffee or barista roles is preferred but not required training is available for passionate beginners
- Willingness to learn espresso dial-in and milk texturing techniques with confidence and care
- Strong customer service skills demonstrated by attentive and friendly guest interactions
- Well-groomed appearance and comfort working in a premium retail environment
- Responsible, reliable, and proactive work approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
We're currently looking for part-timers who can commit at least 3-4 days a week.
Starting pay is $12 per hour.
