Job Summary
We seek a visionary Master Barber / Men's Grooming Director to lead our premium grooming salon. Deliver bespoke barbering services, train staff, manage operations, and elevate brand standards while serving a discerning clientele.
Responsibilities
- Lead the men's grooming department by setting creative direction and establishing high service standards for the salon.
- Deliver advanced, bespoke barbering services including precision haircuts, modern skin fades, traditional hot towel straight-razor shaves, and beard sculpting to premium clients.
- Develop and implement training programs to mentor junior barbers and stylists in advanced cutting techniques, styling, and premium customer service.
- Conduct detailed client consultations on hair styling, scalp health, and grooming routines to build and maintain a loyal high-net-worth client portfolio.
- Oversee daily salon operations including staff scheduling, inventory management of premium grooming products, and ensure compliance with Singapore's health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Drive business growth by recommending and curating retail grooming products, increasing retail sales, and identifying new service opportunities to boost salon revenue.
Required competencies and certifications
- Proven senior-level experience (5 to 8 years) in a luxury or premium barbershop environment operating as a master, director, or senior barber.
- Recognized international diploma or advanced certification in Barbering, Cosmetology, or Hairdressing (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial experience within the salon or grooming industry.
- Technical expertise demonstrated by a portfolio showcasing a wide range of modern and classic men's hairstyles, advanced fading, and traditional wet-shaving techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of hair anatomy, scalp care, and high-end men's grooming retail products.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and client relationship management skills.
