Job Title: Banking Finance Lawyer

Location: Singapore

Level: Associate/Senior Associate (2–6 PQE)

Overview

A leading UK law firm with a strong international footprint, is seeking a talented Banking & Finance Associate to join its growing team. This role offers exposure to high-value, cross-border transactions and the opportunity to work with major financial institutions, private equity sponsors, corporates and alternative lenders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise lenders, borrowers, sponsors and corporates on a wide range of domestic and international finance transactions.
  • Draft, review and negotiate documentation across acquisition finance, leveraged finance, syndicated lending, corporate lending, and refinancing matters.
  • Support senior lawyers on complex, multi-jurisdictional deals and coordinate with local counsel where required.
  • Conduct legal due diligence and assist with structuring, regulatory considerations and conditions precedent.
  • Manage transaction workstreams, timelines and deliverables to ensure smooth completions.
  • Prepare client briefings, know-how materials and contribute to business development initiatives for the practice.
  • Maintain client relationships and proactively identify opportunities to support clients on new matters.

Requirements

  • 2–6+ years PQE in a banking & finance practice at a reputable local or international law firm.
  • Qualified to the bar in Singapore, England & Wales or Common-law jurisdictions.
  • Strong experience in one or more of the following: leveraged finance, acquisition finance, general corporate lending, or real estate finance.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage transactions and work independently while being a strong team player.
  • Commercial mindset and ability to deliver practical, client-focused solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients and counterparties.
