A Banking Assistant job in Singapore paying up to 5.7k on a 12‑month contract with a global private bank.

You will be working with a leading global financial institution, supporting its Global Wealth Management business in Singapore. The team works closely with Client Advisors, Credit Risk, and Front Office Support functions to deliver high-quality credit support and a seamless client experience for private banking clients across Asia.
Your new role
You will be supporting Client Advisors with credit‑related transactions and documentation, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to internal and regulatory requirements. This is a front‑office support role, focused on execution and coordination rather than direct client ownership.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support Client Advisors with credit facility applications, renewals, and amendments.
- Prepare and review credit documentation, applications, and supporting materials.
- Assist with meeting preparation and documentation for client discussions, including overseas clients.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Credit Risk, Legal, Operations, and Product teams.
- Manage business‑as‑usual (BAU) credit support activities and follow up on outstanding items.
- Ensure credit requests comply with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Provide team back‑up / buddy support and assist during peak workloads.
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience, preferably within Wealth Management or Private. Banking, or from other Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) backgrounds.
- Practical knowledge of credit and lending (e.g. mortgage, life insurance, loans).
- Experience in a supporting or Assistant Relationship Manager role is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A team‑player mindset, with willingness to support colleagues and provide back‑up coverage.
- Fluent in English; conversational Mandarin is required to support Mandarin‑speaking stakeholders and regional clients.
