Ballet and Jazz Teacher (Freelance – Cover)

The Role

We are looking for a Ballet & Jazz Teacher (Freelance - Cover) to support our team by covering classes when required. This role involves delivering structured and engaging ballet and jazz lessons while ensuring continuity with existing lesson plans and student progress.

You will work closely with the assigned class teachers to maintain consistency in teaching standards and uphold the quality of our programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and technically sound ballet and jazz classes across various levels

• Follow and continue from existing lesson plans to ensure consistency in teaching

• Provide constructive, confidence-building feedback to support student development

• Maintain a safe, organised, and positive learning environment

• Ensure proper technique, alignment, and warm-up practices are observed in class

• Communicate clearly with customer support team and relevant teachers

• Provide brief post-class feedback or handover notes when covering classes

What We're Looking For

• At least 2-3 years of teaching experience, ideally with children and youth

• Strong ability to teach both Ballet and Jazz (tap is a bonus)

• Certification in a recognised dance syllabus (RAD, ISTD, CSTD) or relevant dance qualification

• Comfortable stepping into ongoing classes and adapting quickly

• Warm, encouraging, and student-focused teaching approach

• Reliable, organised, and able to respond to short-notice assignments

• Strong communication skills and professionalism
