My client is an local heritage brand emphaisizing on small bites of everything in traditional rich dishes.

Mainly in Heritage Nyonya cuisines, cakes, pastries, dried food, desserts and more.

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Baker to join our production team.
You will work closely with our kitchen lead to produce our signature range of dishes and maintaining the quality and consistency our customers expect. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes quiet pride in their craft.

# Key Responsibilities #

  • Prepare and bake our signature kueh and confections daily, including Pandan Chiffon Cake, Ondeh Ondeh, Muah Chee, and seasonal specials.
  • Follow established recipes and production schedules accurately, ensuring consistent taste, texture, and presentation across every batch.
  • Manage ingredient prep - measuring, soaking, cooking pandan, and readying components for production.
    Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and cooling processes to ensure product quality.
  • Maintain stock levels by communicating ingredient needs to the team and flagging low supplies proactively.
  • Pack and label products for retail display, online orders, and corporate gifting as required.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with SFA food safety standards throughout the day.
    Support the team during peak periods, including corporate gifting seasons (CNY, Christmas) and weekend rushes.
  • Assist with product R&D and recipe trials as the menu evolves.


# Requirements #

Must Have

  • Minimum 2 years of baking or kueh-making experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery setting.
  • Genuine familiarity with Nyonya or traditional Singaporean kueh - you know what good ondeh ondeh should taste like.
  • Hands steady enough to work with delicate doughs, mochi textures, and layered kueh.
  • Ability to follow recipes precisely and replicate results consistently.
  • Basic food hygiene certification (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early morning starts.

Good to Have

  • Experience with pandan-based preparations, gula melaka, or coconut milk confections.
  • Familiarity with retail or gifting production environments.
  • Comfortable working in a small, family-run team where everyone pitches in.
  • A genuine interest in heritage food and Peranakan culture

# Working Conditions #

  • Location is 1 predominant outlet with occasional support at a Central Kitchen, both in the East
  • Hours: Full-time, 5.5-day work week. Early starts required (production begins from 8:00 AM)
  • Weekend availability required during peak seasons.
  • Physical role - standing for extended periods, lifting ingredient supplies.
