Constantly curate recipes to renew menu in accordance to company value and attract more customers (e.g. gluten-free or vegan desserts)
Follow existing recipes measure, weigh and prepare ingredients
Bake different bread types, like sourdough, gluten free bread
Mix various ingredients to create jams and fillings
Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machine and other baking equipment
Ensure food surfaces and baking equipment meet all health and safety standards
Clean kitchen equipment and tools before and after use
Education & Certification
Certification from a culinary school is a plus
Requires Skills and Qualifications:
Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
Experience with gluten free, refined sugar free and vegan baking a plus
Understanding of food safety practices
Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
Excellent time-management skills
Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
Team spirit, with a customer-focused attitude
Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety precautions and regulations
Ability to converse in English (written and spoken) is required
Salary range from SGD$2000-$3500
