Job Description

  • Prepare and bake a variety of products such as breads, cakes, pastries, and other baked goods.
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
  • Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers.
  • Monitor baking process to ensure consistency in taste, texture, and appearance.
  • Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Check freshness of ingredients and finished products.
  • Maintain consistency in product presentation and portion sizes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation standards.
  • Assist in inventory control, including stock rotation (FIFO) and reporting shortages.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff and supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Assist in new product preparation and seasonal menu items.
  • Support other kitchen duties during peak periods when required.


Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a bakery or food production environment.
  • Relevant certification in baking, culinary arts, or food safety is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to stand for long hours and work early shifts.
  • Able to lift heavy ingredients (e.g., flour bags).
  • Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts if required.
