Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Baker to join our kitchen team. The candidate will be responsible for daily bread production and assist the Pastry Chef when required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake breads following company recipes and standards to ensure product consistency and quality
- Control portion sizes and present baked goods attractively to meet company presentation standards
- Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing desserts and pastries as needed to support kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and adhere to food hygiene standards to ensure a safe kitchen environment
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and apply measures to minimize wastage and optimize inventory use
- Manage time effectively and collaborate with team members to meet production schedules
- Work early morning shifts as required to support bakery operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a valid Food Hygiene Certificate (Singapore) to comply with food safety regulations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of baking experience to perform core baking tasks efficiently
- Experience in bread production to ensure quality and consistency in daily output
- Basic knowledge of pastry preparation to assist the Pastry Chef effectively
