Backend Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices.

Develop and optimize ETL pipelines for data integration, transformation, and loading.

Integrate applications with internal and third-party systems.

Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

Ensure software follows security, coding, and quality standards.

Required Skills

Minimum 7 years of experience in Java backend development.

Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.

Experience with Microservices architecture.

Good knowledge of MySQL, Redis, and Kafka.

Hands-on experience in ETL, data integration, and data processing.

Experience with distributed systems and backend performance optimization.

Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in SaaS, FinTech, E-commerce, or Enterprise Software.

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools is an advantage.
