Backend Engineer (Efficiency Engineering) – Singapore

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise the backend logic of the company's internal systems
• Build and maintain the efficiency engineering platform, improving business quality and productivity through tooling and process improvements
• Collaborate closely with product managers and QA to ensure product quality and development velocity
• Continuously refactor and optimise internal system architecture to improve stability and scalability

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience, or a strong fresh graduate
• Proficient in at least one backend language and its common frameworks - Golang, Java, Python, or PHP
• Familiar with both relational and non-relational databases
• Detail-oriented and technically driven, with strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and solid problem-solving ability

Bonus Points

• Keen on engineering efficiency, user experience, system performance, or information security
• Able to develop across multiple languages
• Experience building internal systems (e.g. approval workflows, HR, payroll, finance, data analytics)
• Experience using or developing low-code platforms
• Passionate about B-side (enterprise/internal) products
