Backend Engineer 1-5 Years)

We're hiring Backend Software Engineers (1–5 years of experience) to join the Singapore team of a leading international trend-driven e-commerce & lifestyle platform as they continue expanding their engineering presence in Singapore.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on large-scale backend systems serving millions of users, collaborate with global engineering teams, and build high-performance distributed services.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java.
• Build high-performance, reliable, and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and stability.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical improvements.

We're Looking For

• 1–5 years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java.
• Candidates with Golang experience who are open to transitioning into Java are also welcome.
• Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and distributed systems.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Mandarin Chinese speaking ability is required to collaborate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and regional engineering teams in daily work.
