Backend Development Engineer (Digital Systems)

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Development Engineer to design and build high-performance server-side applications that power large-scale digital platforms. This role focuses on building reliable APIs, strengthening system architecture, and ensuring secure data processing in fast-moving environments.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that support business growth and operational efficiency.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Design, develop, and deploy backend services using Java and modern frameworks

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for internal and external integrations

• Develop scalable microservices to support high-concurrency environments

• Optimize database queries, caching mechanisms, and system performance

• Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection controls

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments

• Monitor production systems and resolve performance or stability issues

• Contribute to architectural discussions and continuous platform improvements

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline

• 3-6 years of backend development experience

• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot

• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and API design principles

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms is an advantage

• Understanding of secure coding standards and backend best practices

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
